The office of the County Assessor reports, that for the first time in twenty years property values have fallen in all categories. Keep in mind, that the 2011 property taxes are not due until 2012, but in May property owners will receive notices of valuation from the reassessment. The assessed value of residential property will be based on home sales from July 1, 2008 to June 30, 2010. The County Assessor predicts on an average a reduction of 15% in value among all categories of properties.
