According to the Gazette, Art of Chocolate and Pikes Peak Ice Cream and Gelato on 481 Hwy 105 in Monument (across from the McDonalds) has added the Pikes Peak Desserts Lounge.  Their new focus is more on having a spot for sit down desserts. They are featuring their artisan chocolate counter, the Italian Gelato bar, and pastries from the fabulous Boonzaaijers's bakery. They also have more than 20 flavors of retro cane sugar sodas and a hot beverage menu with coffees, chai, and drinking chocolates.

The Pikes Peak Desser Lounge is offering holiday truffles: Gingerbread Spice, Eggnogg, and the award winning Candy Cane. They worked with Colorado Mountain Brewery to creat a gelato that is based on Ole 59er Ale and called Ale Gelato. It is served on some of their desserts, including warm bread pudding.

Hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays - Thursdays and 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
