California firm buys Colorado Springs apartment buildingA California based real estate company has acquired its second apartment complex in Colorado Springs in two years and plans to purchase a third this month, reflecting the hot apartment market in Colorado Springs. The company paid $9.75 million for the Copper Chase Apartments, a 150 unit building at 2041 Southgate Rd., near the Broadmoor Towne Center. The company plans to spend $500,000 to $1 million on roofing, painting and landscaping, and to add a swimming pool, sun deck and barbecue areas. They are also planning to improve the apartments.
